Lamb & Veggie Dinner
Rollover Super Premium Lamb & Veggie Dinner is an all-natural, fully cooked, completely balanced, semi-soft dog food made in Canada with ingredients sourced from human-grade facilities (we NEVER use rendered materials). This super premium food is over 50% New Zealand lamb organ meat (heart, lung, liver and kidney) packed with fruit and vegetables for optimal health. This food is WHEAT-FREE(made with barley flour and oats) with limited ingredients, making it an excellent choice for those dogs with food sensitivities or wheat allergies. As with ALL Rollover dog foods, our Lamb & Veggie Dinner is made with a single source of meat protein and is highly digestible, therefore less food is needed to meet your dog’s daily nutritional requirements (which also means less yard clean-up!).
Rollover dog foods contain NO bone meal, meat meal, artificial flavours, corn, soy, fillers or risk materials. Rollover’s unique cooking process ensures shelf stability and freshness. To maintain this freshness after opening, Rollover dog food needs to be refrigerated (in an air-tight container or zipper bag). The food will remain moist and tasty for 10-14 days after opening; rolls can also be frozen for prolonged storage.
Lamb (heart, lung, liver & kidney), barley flour, whole eggs, oat flakes, sucrose, salt, peas, carrots, flax, cranberries, parsley, apple, whey protein, rosemary, vitamin supplements (D3, B1, B2, B6, B12, C), folic acid, biotin, choline, trace minerals (calcium, manganese, zinc, iron, copper)
Organ meats are considered ‘super foods’ due to their high protein content and their nutrient density, specifically:
Lamb Heart is very high in protein and low in fat with high levels of CoQ10 (antioxidant that is vital for the immune system and also boosts stamina and endurance). It is a very good source of B vitamins, folic acid, selenium (required for immune and thyroid function), phosphorus, zinc, and amino acids.
Lamb Lung is high in protein, low in fat and a very good source of both Vitamins C (improves immune function, helps to increase blood levels of antibodies) and B12 (essential for growth and cell reproduction) as well as niacin, iron, phosphorous and selenium.
Lamb Liver is an excellent source of iron, Vitamin A (plays a major role in digestion as well as function of the retina; helps to keep coat and skin healthy) and folic acid. It is very high in protein and while it does have a higher level of fat than other organ meats, these healthy fats are essential for normal body function and are also beneficial for the health of a dog’s skin and coat.
Lamb Kidney is a high protein, low fat organ meat that is a good source of Vitamins B12 and B6 (necessary for proper function of the nervous system and brain) as well as folic acid and numerous other vitamins and minerals.
Barley Flour is low-fat, low-cholesterol and significantly lower in gluten than other flours. It is high in fibre and protein and is a good choice for those dogs with wheat allergies.
Whole Eggs are an excellent source of protein and as well as a very good source of lutein (helps boost the immune system and may be beneficial to eyesight), selenium, iodine and Vitamin B2.
Oat Flakes help to improve and regulate digestion, reduce blood sugar, and help to keep your dog feeling fuller, longer. Oat flakes are high in amino acids, vitamins and minerals.
Sucrose is present in our dog food as a humectant only (prevents mould and bacteria growth). Rollover ensures that the absolute minimum possible is used (safe upper limit is 35%**; Rollover uses 10%) and sucrose is easily digested by dogs.
Salt is a critical requirement for all living beings and, as its components are not synthesized by dogs naturally, is required as a supplement in their food. Rollover adds only sufficient salt to ensure your dog has the required amounts of sodium and chloride for optimal health.
Peas are rich in antioxidants (protect the body from free radicals that can damage or kill healthy cells) and are high in Vitamins C and K (promotes blood clotting and bone strength).
Carrots are an exceptionally rich source of Vitamin A and carotenes (beneficial for eyesight and for boosting the immune system).
Flax is high in dietary fibre and Omega 3 fatty acids (beneficial for the functioning of the immune system, nervous sytem and heart; aid in easing both inflammation in the joints and skin irritations; support brain development of puppies and fetuses).
Cranberries are high in fibre and extremely high in antioxidants.
Parsley is rich in flavonoids (powerful antioxidants that fight aging and prevent disease) and is also an excellent source of Vitamins C and A. It also helps to freshen the breath.
Apples are an excellent source of soluble fibre and flavonoids and are also a good source of Vitamins A and C.
Rosemary stimulates the immune system and can help to improve circulation and digestion.
Folic Acid helps to digest and utilize proteins, aids in tissue growth and cell function and is necessary for the production of red blood cells and the synthesis of DNA.
Biotin is needed for cell growth and the metabolism of fats and amino acids.
Choline is an essential nutrient that is required for the formation of cell membranes and is also helpful in preventing the formation of a fatty liver.

For pregnant or lactating females, food requirements will vary; double to triple the amount of food may be needed. For puppies (from about 4 – 14 months of age), feed up to double the adult quantity (for the same body weight), split into two or three daily feedings. Again, these are guidelines only; always be sure your dog is receiving sufficient calories without over-feeding.
